Although we are virtual, we offer the same legal services and attention to your legal matters as traditional law offices. Aloha, my name is Emmitt Ford, Jr., the Founder and Managing Attorney of E.H. FORD LAW LLLC. Our vision is to provide the very best legal representation at a competitive rate in a variety of practice areas. We want to empower our clients to get actively involved in their legal representation at every level from representing themselves pro se where we would provide the requested documents, to providing traditional full service legal representation where we would handle all aspects the case. We operate as a Virtual Law Firm and not an online legal technology company providing generic online legal self help document preparation as some popular nationally advertised legal website organizations. We are a full-service firm practicing in the State and Federal Courts in the state of Hawaii. However, we do provide contracts and other legal document assistance through our unbundled service. Our firm uses the latest technologies to communicate virtually to connect with our clients from our physical location in Honolulu, Hawaii. We can meet with clients all over the state and even on the mainland virtually for cases in Hawaii (State and Federal Courts) all without every catching a flight. That is unless the situation requires in-person meeting and representation. I have made a point to develop strong relationships with the local legal community, the courts, state, city and county governmental agencies. Education and Experience
I have a diverse background in various professions and disciplines before becoming an attorney. I am a professional musician and spent most of my life as a drummer in both live performance on the road and as a studio musician. I helped other artists set up their own record companies, established corporate entities, and drafted their music/entertainment industry contracts. I hold both a Real Estate and Cosmetology Licenses and was a small business owner in the past establishing and operating several business ventures. I have years of experience negotiating, reviewing, and drafting contracts including recording/music industry contracts, NDAs, Real Estate and Financial agreements. I have also negotiated clinical trial research agreements with pharmaceutical companies on behalf of universities and research hospitals. I spent the last decade working with a top law firm specializing in criminal defense, administrative law, insurance defense, litigation, real property, and AOAO/HOA law in addition to entertainment law until I decided to start my own virtual law firm. We look forward to servicing your legal needs.

What are Unbundled Legal Services?
Unbundled legal services (Unbundled Services) are consultation services offered by an attorney [sometimes referred to herein as "the Unbundled Services Provider"] to a person handling his or her own case, i.e., a party representing himself or herself "in Pro Per" [sometimes referred to herein as "the Pro Per" or "the party"], to counsel and assist, but not to represent that person in the pending case.
In an Unbundled Services arrangement, the party consults the lawyer and gets legal information, advice about the party's case, and assistance from the Unbundled Services Provider when the party determines a need for it. Unbundled services does not provide the sort of traditional full-service representation that a party would receive by retaining an attorney for all purposes in the case.
Unbundled services are frequently sought and received in Business and Entertainment Law, Contracts, Employment law, Estate Planning, Family Law, and Credit/Debt defense cases when a party seeks assistance with certain aspects of his or her case. People who can't afford to pay an advance retainer to retain an attorney for ongoing representation, or who don't want the responsibility to pay the ongoing charges of a retained attorney, can obtain consultation and assistance from attorneys who offer unbundled services, on a "pay as you go" basis. This form of assistance has become more prevalent in the past few years, following the downturn of the economy. COVID -19 pandemic, and clients choosing to represent themselves and their own self-interest.
